Doors & Gates

The final touch

Once the fabricating, sculpting, painting and glazing of the front of the Under Hill was complete it was time for Becke to apply the finishing touch. Small dabs of paint were skillfully applied to the incised patterns on the supporting posts and on the double doors. These tiny bits of colour changed everything in an instant adding some beautiful sparkle to the warm tones of the wood. Staying in this abode will be a memorable experience without a doubt!

The (not so) Secret Garden

The Hazelnut Inn’s garden gate is looking more and more finished these days!

We are BIG believers in the potential for an entrance portal to set the stage for an experience. This gate is a prime example of that power! It is impossible to pass by this gate without wondering what is on the other side.

Can you imagine the sense of anticipation and excitement this suite’s guests will feel as they prepare to open it and step inside?

Painting a castle

The Copper Crown castle is looking more splendid every day as the base coats of colour are carefully applied. It won’t be long until the final glazes are being applied. Stay tuned…Who knew painting a castle would be such a great task?
