The last piece bound for the Secret Garden Golf at Castle Fun Park is now well underway. Today, we sculpted the troll living in the tree that supports the guest lookout. Tomorrow, Matt and Peter will begin the armature of the tree.
Prototype approved!
Keith finished welding and grinding the first leaf and welded it in place on the first lamp post. We test-fit a light fixture to the post to see how it looked. We were pleased and have given him the go to finish up the rest of the lamp posts. It won’t be long until they move to the painting department. Stay tuned…
A GIANT leaf
Keith has kept himself busy of late fabricating some very cool light standards for the Secret Garden Mini Golf at Castle Fun Park. The lights will resemble giant flowers when they are done. Today’s task was to cut and weld up a giant leaf as a prototype. If the plan worked (which it did perfectly) he will do up another eleven of the oversized plants. Once assembled the seven-and-a-half-foot leaf will be welded to the stalk of the giant flower stem. Stay tuned for a shot of the assembly tomorrow…
