Jet lag without getting on a plane

I hear many folks that travel complain of jet lag. That's what happens as you cross time zones. As I sit in the airport it is 5:00 am and I feel jet lag. Only I haven't got on the plane yet, nor have I crossed any time zones. I know it has more to do with the fact that I got to bed sometime after midnight. I was afraid to look and see what time it really was. The alarm would ring at 2:00 am to get me on the road.

The good news is traffic was light. There was no lineup at the parking lot bus either. Imagine being the first in line for security at the airport and customs too. Everyone was cheerful and there were no waits. That alone was almost worth the shortage of sleep!

Thankfully, as I travel across the continent today I'll be going east. Bedtime will come three hours early tonight. I'll bet I don't have any trouble falling asleep tonight in Altlantic City.

The weather looks great all across the country, and I have a window seat. I'm well prepared for my speaking engagements and I don't think I've forgotten anything. It doesn't get better than that.
