Back, when we were building our shop in 2003 we bought our first plasma cutter. This was long before the CNC machines we enjoy now. One of the first projects we made in that shiny new shop with that brand new plasma cutter was this sign, for a local gravel pit. Our client left the design of the sign up to me, with the only instruction ‘to create a landmark’. When we delivered the sign the owner loved it. So much, he took out a small advertisement in the local paper. He invited people to submit a name for the sign. The prize for the best entry was a load of gravel or topsoil. He had more than four hundred names submitted. The gravel digging robot’s name is Scoops.
